| Eric
Denton, born in Long Beach, California, is married
with two children, and lives in Riverside, California. Eric
has been Pastor of Central Community Christian Fellowship
since 1988. During the past 18 years, he has begun many ministries,
meeting the needs of people all over the world, without caring
who gets the credit. He ministers to those who attend Central
Community in countless areas of life. In the 1980’s
he started Jackets For Jesus, a ministry to the homeless of
Los Angeles; where each Sunday night a crew takes food, clothing
and care to the streets of Skid Row. Eric is also the Founder
of Siempre Para Los Niños, an orphanage in Tijuana,
Mexico. Siempre Para Los Niños cares for the everyday
needs of over 20 children; including shelter, schooling, and
the genuine love of Christian guardians. In 2005, Pastor Eric
and a group of Central Community members began the “Africa
Matters” ministry to Kitale, Kenya. Having been forever
changed by the people of Kenya, Pastor Eric returned to Kenya
in February of 2006. In the last two years, the people of
Central Community have ministered to street children, constructed
a community school, visited and contributed to several orphanages,
and met the needs of those living in Kenya. In February, Pastor
Eric and his wife Debi were also given the opportunity to
visit the Kakuma, one the largest Sudanese refugee camps.
This October, Pastor Eric plans to return to Kenya to further
develop the “Africa Matters” ministry. Pastor
Eric and the people of Central Community are changing lives! |
